- Q. I would like to know the period of stay indoors for a women who has delivered a child. As per what i have heard is that the peirod is 40 days as some women complete their nifas within 20 and some in more days. I have also heard that once when Abu Baker Siddique (R/A)asked the Prophet if his wife could accompany them when she had given birth to a child. The Prophet said that let her wait for a period of 40 days and then she is free to travel. Kindly confirm the authenticity of the above. Also i would like to know if it is obgligatory or sunnat for the women to stay indoors after childbirth.

- Q. I started wearing hijaab close to a year ago and recently got married to a practicing muslim who is also mashaAllah a good husband. I alo started wearing niqaab soon after my marriage. before my marriage i used to drive whenever i had to go out, but never with any non-mahram. It is quite a harassment for women to go out hunting for autos to go anywhere and it becomes a helpless situation and waste of time if autowaalas dont agree to take you to your destination.but now after marriage my husband is not very happy with the idea of me driving anywhere. i have stopped driving since my marriage, but i have to go out with my mother who is elderly or anywhere short distance without my husband it has become a real tension and i have become immobile. i also have a back ache problem which gets aggravated if i travel in auto. i want to know if on rare occasions, it is ok for me to drive short distances with my mahrams in sucha situation. isnt this better than get into fitnah situation with talking with autowaalas or 2 ladies walking long distances on the road?

- Q. Is uncle of a woman (sister's husband) mahram or a non-mahram to her ? The situation is : I got a controversial argument from my wife. i.e. One day she slept with her uncle(her sister's husband)in the same bed during day time in the absence of her sister. During the night time she is sleeping with the same person along with her sister. Unfortunately Im out of town.(Allah may know all). This incident came to my knowledge and I discussed about this with my wife, but she argued me that her uncle is like "her father" so nothing wrong in it. Even she refused to wear hijab. But, I feel like it is not a moral. What is the solution for this in light of Islam.
