Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1240/1146=L/1429)

It is makrooh-e-tahrimi to fold and play with clothes etc during salah:

وکرہ لفہ ای رفعہ ? و عبثہ بثوبہ، وفی الشامی: وھی کراھۃ تحریم کما فی البحر (در مختار مع شامی 2:406)

The abovementioned Hadith has been narrated by Bukhari:

عن ابن عباس عن النبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قال: امرنا ان نسجد علی سبعۃ اعظم و لا نکف شعراً و لا ثوباً (صحیح البخاری 1:112، باب السجود لعی سبعۃ اعظم، رقم الحدیث: 809-811)
