Title: About qsar namaz

Question: I am a student and I am studying in Aligarh in holidays usually I go to my home town Gorakhpur where my parents live. Sometime I go for 1 month or 10 days, so is it wajib to offer qasr salah or full salah?

Perhaps Gorakhpur is yours as well as your parents’ native place. If it is so then as soon as you enter in Gorakhpur city you will remain no longer a musafir and you will offer full salah. No matter you go there only for one month or ten days or less than it, in each case you will not offer qasr salah there rather you will offer full salah. This is the ruling pertaining to native place.

I am working in Travel Agency in Mumbai as an Accountant.Alhamdulliah we have good practice of praying 3 times in the office premises by the grace of Almighty Allah.As masjid is far away from our office we only go for Jumma prayers and other prayers we pray in office with jamaat. My question is , I have my colleague in our office he often object me that whenever I do waju and after performing salaat I wear shocks and in that same waju I perform the next prayer also, but he says that if i am not doing waju i have to do maasa on shocks. Q. Earlier in our masjid we used to stand as the Imam sahib entered and the Iqama was given and then we prayed normally. Now since many months the Imam sahib has started reciting Hadith from a book of selected Hadiths when he comes for Fardh Salat. Till then we sit down and wait for the Hadith to be completed and then we stand up and Iqama is given. I fear if this is an innovation (biddah) and if other masjids too starts following this way of reciting Hadith when Imam comes to lead for prayer then it may create confusion among people. Q. As salamu aleykum, I was wondering what Mullah Ali al-Qari says in his Sharh on Mishkat about the Hanafi position of lowering the finger when saying ''ill Allah'' in the Tashahhud. Does he say that the finger must be completely dropped onto the thigh (so that it touches the thigh) or must it slightly lowered (so that the finger is still in the air) ?
