Title: Reciting basmala after ameen

Question: I have a question regarding salah: After we recite Surah al-Fatiha and ameen, should we recite the basmala again before commencing to recite the extra ayah/surah? Please if possible quote the references of the traditional Hanafi law books?

If a verse is read from the beginning in the salah after surah Fatiha then it is lawful to read Bismillah before reading the surah, rather it is better. However, the fuqaha have not declared it sunnah. If a verse is read from in-between after surah Fatiha then it shall not be necessary to read Bismillah.

ولا تسن بين الفاتحة والسورة مطلقاً ولو سرية ولا تكره اتفاقاً .....ولهذا صرح في الذخيرة والمجتبى بأنه إن سمى بين الفاتحه والسورة المقروءة سراً أو جهراً كان حسناً عند أبى حنيفة ورجهه المحقق ابن الهمام وتلميذه الحلبي لشبهة الاختلاف في كونها آيةً من كل سورة ، بحر (در مختار مع الشامى 2/192، ط: زكريا).
