Title: is it shalwaar khameez (Jubba) sunnah?

Question: Nowadays I love to wear jubbah, but I got an information from a person that jubbah is not a sunnah it is just a traditional cloth. I seek a valid answer from you with the evident of Hadith.

(Fatwa: 627/627/SD=10/1436) It is proved that the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wore jubbah. His jubbah would reach up to the shanks. If someone wears jubbah up to the same length with the intention that it is proved from the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, then he shall earn reward. But wearing only the jubbah is not sunnah dress. Various types of clothes are proved which the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wore. He did not wear one type of dress only, rather all the clothes which the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, allowed to wear are sunnah. عن أسماء بنت أبی بكر أنها أخرجت جبة طيالسة كروانية لها لبنة ديباج وفرجيها مكفوفين بالديباج وثالت هذه جبة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كانت عند عائشة فلما قبضت قبضتها وكان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يلبسها فنحن نغسلها للمرضى نستشفى الخ. (مشكاة المصابيح ص : 374، كتاب اللباس الفصل الاول) وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنه قال: كل ما شئت والبس ماشئت ما اخطائتك اثنتان سرف و مخيلة و عن عمر بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده قال قال رسول الله عليه وسلم : كلو واشربوا و تصدقوا والبسوا مالم يخالط اسراف ولا مخيلة . (مشكاة ص 377) وقال ابن عابدين : اعلم أن الكسوة منها فرض وهو ما يستر العورة ويدفع الحر والبرد والأولى كونه من القطن أو الكتان أو للصوف على وفاق السنة بأن يكون ذيله النصف ساقه (رد المحتار فصل في اللبس امداد المفتيين عن زاد المعاد نشر الطيب تسهيل الواعظ للتھانوي رح)
