Title: Speaker giving a talk can see women

Question: There were some prominent ulema in UK giving a talk. The men and women were separated but the man giving the talk could see both women and men and the women could see him. Is this permissible?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 497/497/M=04/1435) This way is not right as non-mahram men and women should observe purdah, it is unlawful for male speaker to look at non-mahram women and for women to see the non-mahram man without any Shariah necessity.
