Question: Can zakah be paid in advance? For example: my zakah is due in Ramadan and before Ramadan I give all my zakah in installments month by month. Is it permissible?

(Fatwa: 232/232/M=03/1435) Zakah becomes wajib on a person when he turns sahib nisab. It is wajib to pay zakah when the cycle of year completes. But if someone wants to pay zakah before the year completes then he may do so, it shall be valid. In the question mentioned above, if your date of paying zakah is Ramadan then you may pay your zakah before Ramadan as well.
