Title: Distribution of property among sons and daughters.

Question: I want to ask that my deceased parents had left two houses measuring 300 square yards. Now the value of the property is Rs. 80,00,000/- and the agreement is going to be done to sale the property. My parents did not have any debts (koi qarza nahi hai) to be given. We are 5 brothers and 5 sisters, all are married. My question is: How the property should be distributed among us as per the Shariah. Kindly guide us.

(Fatwa: 1161/902/B=9/1434) You should distribute the price of the house in 15 shares; out of which 2-2 shares shall go to each of the five brothers and 1-1 share to each of the five sisters, as per the rule mentioned in the Quran: للذكر مثل حظ الأنثيين (القرآن)
