    Title: Selling of bidati books

Question: My father runs a business in Dhaka, Bangladesh and we sell books like Maksudul Momineen, Niyamul Quran, Sirajus Saleqin etc. Most of the authentic Hanafi scholars of Bangladesh have given the fatwa that these books are full of bida’h. So is it allowed for us to sell them? Will the income earned from these bida’ati books be halal? Please clarify.

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1188/1184/M=10/1434) As per Hadith, bida’h is deviation. Hence it is helping in sin to sell and publish the books which deal with bida’h; hence you should avoid it. The income which is received through it is not completely pure and free of doubt. ما قامت المعصية بعينه يكره بيعه تحريماً وإلا فتنزيهاً (در مختار مع الرد 9/509 زكريا)
