(Fatwa: 825/802/N=1434) (1) Beer is a kind of wine. However, it contains less alcohol in contrary to wine; hence those who are addicted to intoxication it puts less effect on them. However, it is wine hence it is not lawful to drink it in any case. (2) As it is not lawful for Muslims to take interest from Muslims in the same way it is also not lawful to take it from non-Muslims, the reason is that the evidences of unlawfulness of interest are common.
