Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 662/646/N=1433) Everyone should do istikharah for himself, it is proved by Hadith. However, getting istikharah done by someone else is lawful as per Shafai and some Maliki scholars but no opinion of Ahnaf and Hanabila is mentioned in this regard (الموسوعة الفقهية 3:246). So, one should follow which is proved form the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) i.e. doing istikharah by oneself.
