After the completion of education at Surat (South Gujarat), I got the job placement in Pune (Maharashtra). Now, that what are the rules applicable for salah as traveller in case of following scenario: Which is the place considered as my native from North Gujarat, South Gujarat, Maharashtra? If I am travelling to Surat from Pune for less than 15 days, do I have to offer full prayer? If I am travelling to North Gujarat (Born place) from Pune, what is the rule to offer salah? Will I be considered as traveller there and have to offer discounted salah? Please respond as soon as possible.

    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1235/L=476/TL=1433) In the question mentioned above, if you migrated from North Gujarat (completely) to South Gujarat along with your parents then South Gujarat became your native place. So if you travel from South Gujarat to Maharashtara, Pune and North Gujarat up to the distance of 77.25 kms or more without the intention of staying there for fifteen days then you should do qasr at these places. So, only by entering your city in South Gujarat you will become muqim and you will offer complete salah though you do not intend to stay there for fifteen days. فلو كان له أوان ببلد غير مولده وهو بالغ ولم يتأهل به فليس ذالك وطناً له إلا إذا عزم على القرار وترك الوطن الذى كان قبله (شامى: 2/614)
