Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !
(Fatwa: 78/33/L=1433) It is wajib to grow beard. It is the sign of Islam. You are not allowed to shave it due to parents' objection or it prevents you to get a job. The holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said that obeying a creature by disobeying Almighty Allah is unacceptable. As far as the matter of livelihood is concerned Almighty Allah has taken it upon Him. If a man leaves any unlawful employment trusting in Allah then Almighty Allah will arrange for him a lawful job. Hence it is not appropriate for a Muslim to commit non-Shariah and haram act merely for livelihood.
