Question: My wife has deny to take the mahar on 1st night and she say that she and her god maaf my mahar,should i give her mahar now.i want to give her but she did not except.what should i do?

(Fatwa: 954/954/M=1432) Mahr is the right of wife and one who owns right can also withdraw it. In this case, if wife withdraws her right of mahr willingly it will be cancelled and you will no longer be asked to pay it off. However, if you still want to give her, you can give it with some other title.
