Title: Plz give me details about(Fatwa: 1268/1268/M=1431) i.e if the farz salah starts and he is reading sunnah and if he has completed one rakat and then he should complete 2nd and then join the farz salah.

Question: Plz give me details about(Fatwa: 1268/1268/M=1431) i.e if the farz salah starts and he is reading sunnah and if he has completed one rakat and then he should complete 2nd and then join the farz salah. Plz tell me that in the 2nd rakat what is has to do. and farz how much sunnah he has then read.

(Fatwa: 837/310/TL=1432) In case you are in second rak’ah, you should turn for salam at the second rak’ah. But, if it is the sunnah of Zuhr or Jumu’ah, then according to some ulama, one should not break at second rak’ah rather he should complete four rak’ah. If one breaks the Zuhr sunnah at second rak’ah he will have to make it up with four rak’ah after the fardh. But, if someone breaks at second rak’ah in the sunnah of fardh other than Zuhr, they are not to be made up after fardh, only the two rak’ah is enough.
