Title: Ruling about growing beard

Question: I am Alhamdulillah working as a sales engineer in Saudi Arabia and I have a beard which I always wanted to keep since my childhood as it is sunnah. But my beard is not in a proper way, hairs are not completely present on face and unevenly distributed. It is becoming curly and people say it is not looking good. I feel that if I trim it then it becomes style and by heart I cannot feel that I am practicing sunnah. Can I make all my beard hairs into one level size by trimming it with scissor?

It is not lawful to trim the beard less than one fist. Yes, if your beard is longer than one fist then you may cut the extra beard to embellish it, it is allowable as per the Shariah. Likewise, you may also trim the hair of the cheek with scissors or razor beyond the beard limit. However, you should comb your beard regularly and apply oil which may make your beard beautiful.
