Title: Regarding the payment of due zakah

Question: My husband usually calculates zakah in the month of Ramadan and before next Ramadan we pay off to needy people. This Ramadan of 2017 we did the same but till now we have given all except Rs 65000 which is due on us and we had intention to give to our needy close relatives but recently we are amidst a house deal in which we would be in debt of more than 20+lac and also my jewellery might be sold. I would like to ask am I supposed to pay zakah now or after my home deal?

First of all, you should pay the zakah which is due on you and on your husband and buy the house later. And it is better not to buy such splendid house which makes you to borrow twenty lakh rupees.
