Title: There is a mosque in our society, which was founded 80 to 100 years before.A part of the society,always claim that the mosque was constructed on there land so they have the upper hand to handle the affairs of mosque; in other words- they try to dictate the terms and try to get the preference in any affair of the mosque.

Question: Respected Shaikh, Assalamu Aly Kum, Q:there is a mosque in our society, which was founded 80 to 100 years before.A part of the society,always claim that the mosque was constructed on there land so they have the upper hand to handle the affairs of mosque; in other words- they try to dictate the terms and try to get the preference in any affair of the mosque.So, there has always been disagreement and discord in one way or the other among the parties in handling the affairs. Recently, the discord has gone to such an extyreme limit that has broken the saocity apart.One of the factions, has constructed a new mosque very close the old one-regular as well as juma prayers are offered there. My question is- what is the ruling about the new mosque? Is the new mosque could be considered as legal according to sharia?it seems, bothe the factions may never reconcile, at present i dont subscribe to anyone. May i offer prayer in both the mosque? May i contribute in both the mosque for development? Thanking you!

It is permissible to pray in both the mosques and to donate to them.
