Title: Construction of Mosque in Sweden

Question: I am a representative of Bilal Foundation, Nacka, Sweden. This foundation has been established for the construction of the mosque. My question is regarding the construction of the mosque near the church. Actually we are going to build a mosque with name Bilal Mosque in a city of Sweden but the problem is that the place which is given by the authorities is just 20-25 feet away from the Church. Here about 3000 Muslims all around the world are living and have different opinion on this issue. Some people are saying that it is not allowed to build a mosque adjacent to the Church some are saying that because Church is already there so it will create bad effect on our children. One more information about this project that we are purchasing the land on the name of Bilal Foundation which was made for the construction of the mosque, it means that this mosque including land will be the property of the Muslim. I need written fatwa in Urdu and in English if possible with signature and stamp. Kindly help me in this regard and I will be thankful to you if you will reply me quickly because we must purchase land in coming two weeks. You can send me fatwa in PDF form via email.

(Fatwa: 1876/L=560-TL=1432) In itself there is no harm in building mosque adjacent to the Church. However, it is the matter of observation whether it is appropriate or not to build a mosque there and whether building mosque will be harmful there or not. The people of the area should themselves consider about it.
