    Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 293/852/D=9/1434) (1) Purchasing of biryani will not rightly take place only by paying some money. The briyani was prepared by people from donation money, then it be purchased from those who prepared it. However, if they aim at feeding the poor only, then the rich may not consume it. But if they intend to feed every one whether a poor or rich, then everyone can eat it as the donation money was mixed and the total money may not be labelled as haram. Yet, if one knows that it contains some haram money as well, he may avoid if he wishes. (2) If there is no haram or impure ingredient in sandal powder, the women may apply it.
