Title: Will follicular study break the fast?

Question: Myself and my wife are undergoing treatment for pregnancy. In-shaAllah, we want to take the treatment in Ramadan month too. I want to know whether follicular study will break the fast as it is taken as a part of the treatment?

If a lady doctor inserts her hand or any device in the womb of woman then if the lady doctor inserts wet hand or device while some medicine was applied on it then the fast will break. But if the doctor inserted dry hand or device which had no effect of medicine or water then the fast will not break.

ولو أدخل أصبعه فى استه أو المرآة في فرجها لا يفسد وهو المختار إلا إذا كانت مبتلة بالماء أو الدهن فحينئذ يفسد لوصول الماء أو الدهن هكذا فى الظهيرية (الفتاوى الهندية، كتاب الصوم، الباب الرابع فيما يفسد وما لا يفسد، 3: 204، ط: المطبعة الكبرى الأميرية، بولاق، مصر) ونحوه فى الدر المختار ورد المحتار (كتاب الصوم باب ما يفسد الصوم وما لا يفسده، 3: 369، ط: مكتبة زكريا ديوبند) وغيرهما من كتب الفقه والفتاوى.
