Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 1083/1083=M/1429)

It is sunnah to observe aqiqah of newborn baby. The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) performed the aqiqah of his grandchildren (Hadhrat Hasan and Hadhrat Hussain). By aqiqah, the troubles go away from the baby and it is protected against problems.
