Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 985/591/L=1433) It is mustahab for the parents to name their newly born child on seventh day and shave his/her head and give in charity gold or silver equal to the weight of the hair and to bury the hair. If one can afford, he should perform aqiqah. It is mustahab for the aqiqah of baby boy to slaughter two goats or two shares in big animal while one goat or one share in big animal for the aqiqah of baby girl.
