Title: Rent received is haram or halal.

Question: I have a commercial office. A sports bar company has approached me to take my office on rent (Galaxy Entertainment Corporation Ltd - Mumbai ). The nature of their business is , they have big restaurants and other large spaces, in other areas outside my office premises, where people come to play different types of games and at the same time they relax and drink alcohol. Now the point is that they are not carrying out any of their business activities in my office such as playing of games or serving alcohol. They are just going to manage their accounts and administration in my office. My question is that is this rent that I shall receive - Halal or Haram. Please reply most urgently as I have to reply to them in 3 to 4 days.

(Fatwa: 411/162/L=1433) If they only will manage their accounts and administatration in your office, then you can give your office to them on rent. And thus you will be permitted to use the amount of rent paid by them.
