Title: I want to ask you that after the completion of Haj Cermon a Haji could write or called their name as Haji Karim or Al-Haaj Abul Razaaq? For my money, they are showing off their self infront of the people that I have performed Haj & I m Haji. Are they doing right? According to the Islamic Principles (Showing off their self is called "Riakaari") and Ilam strictly prohibited this action. Please Clarify me that my thinking is right or wrong. If my thinking is right than what is your FATWA about this action or method of including Haji or Al-Haaj with their Names? If I am wring so guid/explain me the it is "Riakaari" or not?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 873/1068=H/1429)

It is very bad to do a thing with a feeling of show and publicity because by this way a person wastes loses his good deeds. However, matters of show and publicity etc are hidden which actually are related to heart. So, to say about others of being ostentatious or showy is incorrect. Those who prefix their names with "Al-haaj" (or haji) calling them showy is not correct, though writing oneself haji is not good. There is no problem if you convince such people in loneliness with wisdom. It is allowed to state it in a way that does not hurt people and you do not address anyone particularly. After all, you should not give a form of movement.
