Question: assalamoalaikum if you please tell me that reading of books, newspaper (english) is allowed in washroom or not.

(Fatwa: 193/193/M=1431)

Bathroom is not a place to read books and newspapers whether they are in English, they should not be studied therein.

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta'ala) knows Best
