Question: I just want to know that can we recite Durood Taj?

Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim !

(Fatwa: 312/241/D=03/1435) The virtues of durood taj prevalent among illiterate people are absolutely incorrect and nonsensical. It contains some shirkiya (polytheistic) words. Duroods narrated in hadiths are far better than durood taj, so you should not read durood taj and read the duroods mentioned in hadiths instead. So many duroods have been written in “Zad al-Saeed” authored by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (رحمة الله) which are proved from hadiths. Some other scholars have also written books in which they have compiled durood from hadiths.
